The Arboretum Roundabout

 

The Arboretum used to have a roundabout that at peak times was busy but most of the day was fine, to remedy this some idiot at Walsall Town & Planning designed the monstrosity below with around fourteen roads feeding into a mess of traffic lights, this is a tragedy waiting to happen. Millions of pounds worth of taxpayers money and months and months of roadworks were used to create this mess. The bonus here was many business went out of business in the town centre due to the roadworks and guess what, the congestion is now worse. As an experienced driver i have so many times nearly gone the wrong way in this mess of traffic lights. All the orginal roundabout needed was some traffic lights but then that would not have wasted the millions that Walsall MBC had to burn, it also proved once again their virulent anti-car and anti shopper policy was in effect again.
